Missing Person Report
Hint 1:
Cut the dotted lines, but don’t forget where the red hand print came from.
Hint 2:
Fold in on the straight lines.
Answer:
Cut out the police report on the dotted lines. Then fold in at 4 spots, where the straight lines are at. When you fold in, only a little bit of text is left, saying 7 + 2.
Crossword / Classifieds
Hint 1:
Did you look at both sides of the paper? The serial killer must have been really interested in those classifieds ads. He cut them out, which only left a portion of the crossword puzzle. Have you solved it anyways?
Hint 2:
Have you solved the crossword puzzle and seen any of those words anywhere else? Or are you stuck on a crossword puzzle answer? Maybe you could read the classifieds and see if a word jumps out at you for the answer.
Hint 3:
With the crossword puzzle solved, what 3 numbers went with the 3 ads?
Answer:
While you don’t have to solve the entire crossword puzzle (the serial killer cut it off!) you are able to solve some.
Here are some:
9 Across: Strong
7 Down: Dodge
6 Down: Windows
The first classified ad has Windows in the ad (6), the second has Dodge in the ad (7), the third has Strong in the ad (9) for 679.
Stuart Hardware
Hint 1:
Who knows what all the serial killer would shop for at the local hardware store. I’m sure they have plenty of rulers there though.
Hint 2:
Odd that the rule has two different colors markers and an arrow on it. Does that fit in with the hardware store?
Hint 3:
Use the ruler to line the blue line up on the ruler with the blue line on the image next to HARDWARE. Does the arrow on the ruler point to a blue letter?
Answer:
When the blue line on the ruler is lined up with the blue line beside HARDWARE, the black arrow on the ruler points to a blue T.
When the red line on the ruler is lined up with the red line under STUART, the black arrow on the ruler points to a red N.
When the red line on the ruler is lined up with the red line beside GRAND, the black arrow on the ruler points to a red E.
This will spell TEN.
Porcelain Dolls
Hint 1:
The serial killer liked his porcelain dolls. He did spell EXIT on them, which set up the order for a code.
Hint 2:
The dolls eyes must be on to something, but what is it trying to say?
Hint 3:
EXIT. What is the doll with the E looking at? Is that an S? What about the doll with the X? What’s so special about 2, 4, 6, 8, 10? That’s definitely an odd thing to look at.
Answer
The correct sequence of dolls is EXIT.
E is looking at the letter S
X is looking at a board of EVEN numbers
I is looking at an ON switch
T is looking at an E
This gives us 71.
Voices in the Dark
Hint 1:
Boss Tips is telling us something here. Let’s just focus on the first letter of each paragraph first.
Hint 2:
The barcode sure is an puzzling one. Maybe the Controls page will tell you what all of these symbols mean.
Hint 3:
You need 3 numbers by solving the 3 codes on the Cheats page. Can you read a hidden message in each of these cheat codes?
Answer:
Code 1, when read from the bottom right letter, going up, and then down the column next to it reads “What Number Is After The Star”. After the star in the barcode is an 8.
Code 2, when read from the top left letter, going down and then up the next column reads “First Plus Eighth”. The first character in the barcode is a S and the eighth is a 2. The Controls page tells us S = 3, so this is 5.
Code 3, when read from the top left, and then down the far right column and then backwards reads “Triangle Plus Two”. On the controls page, Triangle relates to Three. This answer is 5.
The final solution is 855.
Evidence Discovered Map
Hint 1:
The coordinates are identifying a body on the map.
Hint 2:
The timeline of the discovered bodies might lead us to something.
Hint 3:
Use a pen if you must. Where does the first body found, on January 7, 1992 take you when you then go to the second body found?
Answer:
The coordinates are identifying when each body on the map was found. Starting with the oldest body found, on January 7, 1992 and in E7, draw a straight line to the second body found in F3. What letter does your line pass through? Continue with the other bodies and you will unscramble FOUR.
Photographs
Hint 1:
These victims don’t have much to say in their individual picture. But do you have all six pictures laying out?
Hint 2:
There is a strange symbol on the picture. Can you find a match?
Hint 3:
One picture isn’t telling us much, but maybe these pictures can be connected to give us a bigger story.
Answer:
Lay the pictures out on the table and place them next to each other with the matching symbols touching each other. The star on one picture should be up against the star on the other picture. When connecting the photos at their matching symbols, you’ll form a large 5 on your table.
